SCORE Client Named  Muskegon Area's Top Entrepreneur for 2011

Muskegon, MI – April 20, 2011 – Eric Ringelberg, who is in the midst of celebrating his business' 10-year anniversary, won the Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce's Entrepreneur Award. The owner of NeXt I.T., Ringelberg received the award on Wednesday during the chamber's annual luncheon to honor local entrepreneurs at the Muskegon Country Club. He was one of three finalists selected by a committee of past winners.

“I appreciate the award I received today,” Ringelberg said. “I have to thank all of you because you are my customers.” NeXt I.T., with offices in Norton Shores, 423 W. Norton, and Grand Rapids, 2828 Kraft Ave SE, specializes in industry-specific technology solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses. Ringelberg's business began in his basement in 2001, creating it with former business partner Brad Williams. He eventually moved the business to the “Lakeshore Launchpad” incubator in the Hume Building in downtown Muskegon, purchasing a larger facility in Norton Shores in 2002. He opened the Grand Rapids office in 2006.

NeXt I.T. now has 26 employees and serves 274 clients in West Michigan and expects to employ 40 employees by the end of 2011. Ringelberg credited the support he received during his business development, including counseling with Muskegon SCORE Volunteers. According to Ringelberg “The SCORE counselors have always been there for me, whether it a big problem or a small question, these guys always know where to get the answer – Thanks SCORE!“
